Valérie BELLENCONTRE

VALÉRIE BELLENCONTRE is an actress for voice, theater and film.

Trained at the École Nationale de Musique, Danse et Art Dramatique de Villeurbanne in interpretation, she graduated with honors in 2008, and went on to work directly with a theater company with whom she toured France for 7 years.

Shortly before immigrating to Quebec, she took her first dubbing classes with Karl-Line Heller and Franck Pitiot. It was then that she developed a passion for this aspect of the profession, which combines everything she loves as an actress: the use of breath, the rhythm of emotions and the voice in the service of a character. She also discovered the potential registers of her voice to suit different characters, both in animation and fiction.

Upon her arrival in Quebec, she decided to pursue her voice work: she perfected her diction with Marie-Eve Pelletier, then tackled the whole range of vocal techniques at the microphone (fiction, radio drama, narration, voice over, advertising) with Danièle Panneton.

In 2022, she began more specific work, training with INIS in video game dubbing, where she was taught all the particularities and subtleties of this field, and where she learned to work very quickly, as the world of video games implies.

Immediately after training, she landed a dubbing contract for a new game!

She is currently working in cartoon dubbing, interpreting one of the main characters in an animated series for children, as well as in audio books.
